The M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) is the United States military designation for a sub-family of the Minimi (Mini-mitrailleuse, "mini-machine gun"). Both are light machine guns chambered for the 5.56 x 45 mm NATO cartridge. It was originally manufactured by Fabrique Nationale (FN). Utilizing our modular fully slotted back panel system, storage of M249 SAWs in Combat Weapon Storage Systems™ is accomplished with rapid reconfiguration of rack accessories for efficient M-249 storage.

 

Combat Weapon Storage Systems™ will meet the storage requirements for all versions of M249 light machine guns including storage of most accessories attached to the M249 including optics, scopes, and more.

 

Combat High Density Weapons Racks come standard with a 10 point locking system meeting OPNAVINST 5530.13C & AR 190-11 for arms storage requirements.
