Combat
M-2 Weapon Storage Racks store 50 caliber machine
guns in a secure upright position. Combat M-2 Weapon
Racks are available as fixed racks configured in one
of our 4 fixed applications or as a high density weapons
storage system. Combat M-2 Weapons Racks come standard
with a lock bar for pad-locks meeting OPNAVINST
5530.13C & AR 190-11 for arms storage requirements.
Combat M-2 Weapons Racks are available in two models,
with or without additional barrel storage. Combat
M-2 Weapon Racks are available with our deployable
base for rack transport requirements.
The
M2 machine guns are locked and unlocked simultaneously
by an all steel heavy gauge cylindrical security bar
that simply slides through all four guns. Once the
'security locking bar' is unlocked and removed it
is placed on two hooks that form a cradle to support
the actual bar. In this manner access to the weapons
is unimpaired for the armorer. To secure one or all
four M2's simply slide the bar back into it's original
position and lock. The actual end of the gun is slotted
in to a heavy gage steel 'block' ensuring that the
weapon remains stored vertically without any lateral
movement.
The
eight barrels are stored separately in the same rack
in two groups of four, each group of four is separately
locked via a hinged steel plate. In the same manner
as the gun the end of the barrel is securely housed
vertically with the barrel end slotted into a steel
'block'.
